Sharing Knowledge Through Interaction:
Through my experiences as an instructor and teaching assistant at Duke University and Louisiana State University, I have come to appreciate the importance of adaptability in teaching. Whether I am teaching an art history seminar, leading students through difficult visual and media studies theory, or conducting museum tours, my approach is the same: discussion, critical thinking, and engagement precede passive learning. Large survey courses with thousands of students challenged me to make learning feel personalized, while small discussion courses taught me the power of close mentorship.
